Maleficent in the movie Maleficent is portrayed by Angelina Jolie. Directed by Robert Stromberg an Academy award winner for Best Art Direction (oh by the way, it’s his debut directorial movie) and he is a well-known special effects artist and designer in the industry. His extensive credits include James Cameron’s Avatar, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and most recently, Sam Raimi’s Oz the Great.
