2014 FIFA World Cup - 12th Day Match - Group A Standing

In continuation of the 12th Day Match of 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Group A fought against each other.

At the Estado Nacional, Brasilia, and knowing Brazil hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup did not fret but made sure putting a mark of winning this game 1-4 in favour of Brazil. At 17’, Neymar Jr(10), with a simple tap in for a landmark moment: the 100th goal of Brazil 2014 in the hosts’ 100th World Cup game. Luiz Gustavo broke free on the Brazil left and fired a perfect delivery in the center of the Cameroon box. The Barca forward makes no mistake by opening his body, using the pase of the cross to guide the ball past Itandje.

Matip (21) of Cameroon was able to gain the equalizer with a finish from close range. Allan Nyom found space on the Cameroon left after some scrambled build-up play and fired it across goal. Matip was there for a simple finish, his first international goal.

Just about 11’, Neymar again gaining lead by 1 on Cameroon. Neymar, picked the ball up on the Brazilian left and dances his way inflied. Neymar, jinxed inside a coupel of Cameroon challenged and slams home. The host are back in the front and Brasilia is rocking.

It's Scolari's side who lead at the interval, but it's been nervy for the hosts at times. Neymar's brilliant finish saw Brazil go in front to ease the tension in Brasilia, but Joel Matip levelled things up to stun the Estadio Nacional into silence. The resurgent crowd roared their team on though, and a moment of Neymar brilliance sees A Selecao into the interval in the ascendancy. Cameroon have looked dangerous on the counter-attack and from set pieces, and this game is far from over.
FRED! HE'S DONE IT! The Brazilian No9 has been working so hard for that goal in the opening two and a half group games, and he's got his name on the scoresheet. The ball is played to the Brazilian left of the penalty area following a set piece, and it's fired across goal by David Luiz. Fred is there to nod home from inside the six yard box.

FERNANDINHO! The substitute settles any nerves after news of Mexico's third was trickling through into the stadium. The Manchester City midfielder latched on to a through ball and toe-poked past Itandje.

The hosts have won Group A, and they will face Chile in the Round of 16 after Mexico's 3-1 win over Croatia. Neymar's first-half double, followed up by Fred and Fernandinho efforts in the second half, saw Scolari's side to a comfortable victory. Cameroon had levelled to silence the Brasilia crowd, but Neymar's second eased the tension in the Estadio Nacional.

Like the match between Netherlands and Chile, Croatia and Mexico had a slow first half. A tense half filled with tough tackles ends goalless. Croatia and Mexico both had a few good chances but couldn't capitalise, and now the final 45 minutes must separate the two teams. As it stands, with this game 0-0 and Brazil beating Cameroon 2-1, Brazil and Mexico would go through if the scores remain the same.

Mexico's captian heads home! Rafael Marquez jumps the highest to direct Herrera's corner into the net.

Just like that Mexico double their lead! Andres Guarado is at the end of a lightning quick counter-attack, taking advantage of Croatia's numbers forward and now Mexico firmly have a foot in the Round of 16.

Chicharito makes it three for El Tri! Herrera's corner is a good one as Hector Moreno flicks on to Hernandez who nods home at the back post.

Perisic scored for Croatia at 87’ and was denied by Ochoa in having the second goal.

A flurry of goals - four in 22 minutes - plus a late sending off seals a frentic finish to this match in Recife, and the Mexico supporters are loving it. The final result sees El Tri move on to the Round of 16, along with Group A winners Brazil, who beat Cameroon 4-1, while Croatia are eliminated.

Netherlands won over Chile by 2 points. After a very slow first half, Leroy FER (18), Midfielder from Ukraine, as his first touch of the game served a goal at 77’ of the second half. Leroy FER heads it perfectly down and away from Claudio Bravo (1) of Chile.  It was followed after with another goal by Memphis Depay (21), Forward, after Arjen Robben made a great run and passes off to Memphis Depay who tucked it away in the corner, just beating Marcelo Diaz to the ball, which gave the NEDs all nine points in Group B.

On the other hand, Spain was able to restore a piece of its pride by beating Australia in a 3-0 concurrent match. First goal was from  David Villa with a lovely finish. Iniesta played a superb ball behind the Australian defence which sets Juanfran away, the Atleti fullback gets his head up and cuts back to Villo who, in acres of space, backheels the ball past Ryan. Fernando Torres (6) added another score for the Spaniards. Fernando Torres splits the Australian defence with an incisive pass, and the Chelsea forward has the simple task of sidefooting past Ryan.

Do You Know?
That this is Torres’ first World Cup Goal since Germany 2006.

Juan Mata (13), Forward, found his way deep inside the Australian penalty area after a chipped through ball from Frabregas. The Manchester United man brought the ball under control before calmly slotting the ball through Ryan’s legs.

Watch out for Group A's result for June 23, 2014 - the Twelfth match  of 2014 FIFA World Cup!

I've Got My First Loom Band...

Loom bands are pretty popular right now. Even Pope Francis wore one. Also, people in our office brought their kit to make some loom band bracelets while they are on break.

I would like to thank Aiah for making one for me and in return she taught me how to make a fishtail and hexa design. Thank you baby!

While you're already on my site, I will teach how to do a Fishtail Loom Band which is good for starters:

Step 1: Get your rubber bands ready. Group the colors from Red to Violet if you want to form a rainbow or whatever design you are planning to make.

Step 2: Hold your loom fork and loom hook.

Step 3: Get a rubber band and form an infinity sign in your loom fork.

Step 4: Put another rubber band after the first.

Step 5: Put another infinity sign after the last rubber band.

Step 6: Grab your hook, take the bottom rubber band and pull it on top over the 3rd rubber band. Do the same thing on the other side until you are able to make a bundle or tie.

Step 7: Add another rubber band (do an alternate of infinity and regular) and repeat step 6.

Step 8: Repeat step 7 then 6 until you come up with a long fishtail loom band creation that fits your wrist.

Step 9: Once you got the right length, put remaining 2 rubber bands over the last rubber band on top.

Step 10: Take the last rubber band out of the loom fork with the use of your hook and slid it in a clip.

Step 11: On the other end of the clip, slid the first tie or knot that you made.

Step 12: Pat yourself on the back as you have made your own Rainbow Loom Band Bracelet!

BTW, my sister Amie is selling some loom bands and those who want to learn about it just shoot me an email and will show more designs for you!

Happy looming…

13th Philippine TOYCON 2014

The Philippine Toys, Hobbies, and Collectibles Convention announced last January 14 2014 on their FACEBOOK account, that the 13th TOYCON 2014 which will be held at SM Mega Trade Hall this coming June 20 - 22, 2014, is in deed one of the most awaited pop-culture event in the Philippines.

Alodia Gosiengfiao, which I call Diety of CosPlay here in the Philippines, will be there and so those anime fan and toy collectors around the country.
These are pics from Alodia's Facebook account, please support here as she launched her BAG designs! ILOVEMIKASA

The event is organized by Collectibles Unlimited and it is Asia's biggest and long time running convention for comics, toys, anime, cosplay, movies, gaming and related to hobby and collectibles.

This is me as JACK FROST from Rise of the Guardians (proud as a first timer!)

Denden, Rhose, and I were thinking of going to the conference wearing our Pandora Hearts costumes which won't be able to do because I failed to have my coat ready (actually got out of budget due the weekly out of town and out of country... lolz). I'm hoping I can find another character to portray on the said date.

See you at the Hall!
