Planning for Summer Activity?

Here are my top lists for activities for summer:

10. Mountain Trekking or Hiking – hiking on a summer is tougher but still you can feel the comforting breeze of the summer winds kissing your sun-kissed skin giving you that nature and calming feel. If you are afraid of heights then you can cross this out of the list. You can check out these articles for your hiking ideas:

9. Kite Flying – kids nowadays may have little experience of the fields but kite flying is a childhood memory to beat the heat of summer on a windy afternoon along the rice fields or meadows. For a place where you can have your kids fly their kites check this article out

8. Food Tripping – filling your tummy is fulfilling than any activity there is for the day. Eating healthy and cold food during under the hot weather is a worthy try to beat it. Visit https://diningwithyu.blogspot.com for any suggestions.

7. Sunset Watching – watching the sun to go down is a reminder that everything ends after a cycle. Thus, watching it with someone you love will make it more romantic. It may be above the mountains or along the seashore. Here are my top 10 sunset views for 2015.

6. Amusement Park or Theme Park Riding – it’s always fun remembering yourself as a kid and enjoying these different rides and let the time pass. Having a group of people with you and all set of “kulitan”, you can definitely beat the heat of summer. Try out Hong Kong Disneyland or Enchanted Kingdom or Ocean Park Hong Kong or Ocean Park Manila for options.

5. Beach Partying – love to part? Party like there’s no tomorrow and tell yourself “We are young!” and yes beach party might come across your list to enjoy the summer. Find Boracay and Puerto Galera as your spots. You can also check out Phuket, Nah Trang, and Panglao for any beach parties.

4. Snorkeling or Scuba Diving – what else can make you be with nature and beat the summer at the same time but to do snorkeling or scuba diving to admire underwater world and the creatures from the deep. Surely winning the summer fun. Palawan may be on your top list for snorkeling and scuba but you can also try Binukbok Island at Bawan, Batangas if you are looking for somewhere near.

3. Kayaking or Canoeing – trying to take it slow and chillax, kayaking and canoeing along the river or in an open sea will certainly be a good fun to try during this hot season. Kayaking at Bolinao, Pangasinan beach or in Ilog Malino river or in Taal Lake, Batangas are good resorts. http://travelingwithyu.blogspot.com/2014/05/mi-quit-tama-na-bolinao-part-1.html

2. Wake Boarding or Water Skiing – wanted an extreme activity during the summer. Wake boarding will be on your list to try. This will definitely give you the adrenaline rush on summer. Listing CamSur, Nuvali, and Pradera for this activity. http://travelingwithyu.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-ventage-summer-experience-with-modern.html

1. Swimming – as always, the number one on the spot when we hear summer is coming more likely are we beach ready. Indeed beaching is one thing that you cannot take out of your list summer arrives. There are thousands of beaches around the Philippines you can select from to enjoy swimming. From north to south: La Union, Ilocos, Pangasinan, Bataan, Quezon, Boracay, Batangas, Cebu, Bohol, Davao, etc. You can also enjoy a pool just within a farm at Prado Farm which may be a good idea as well.

Year of the Wood Sheep - 2015 New Year Celebration

Time had passed and all we can sing auld lang syne...  2014 come by just like any other year and now we are to celebrate in less than a day 2015 or the new year.

2015 is the Year of the Wood feng shui element - the Wood Sheep - so to be in harmony with the energy of the year and befriend the ruling Wood Sheep energy, it is recommended to wear the colours of the Wood feng shui element - all shades of green and brown.

Just a side track... What I think is really LUCKY? This year will be very great at traveling up the mountains or forest or anything that relates to EARTH... :)

I'm thinking now what will be best for our table for a festive eve. Hmmm maybe pesto to complement with the color or green peachy peachy or red velvet or ube cake...

In addition to the Wood feng shui element, you can also wear the colours of the Water and Earth elements, because these two elements support the Wood in its growth and well-being. So, colours blue and black (Water element colours) as well as all earthy tones (Earth element) are also good in the coming year of the Wood Sheep 2015.

Horoscope and Numerology:

Earthly Branch of Birth Year: wei
Wu Xing (The Five Elements): tu (earth)
Yin Yang: yin
Auspicious Directions: east, southeast, south
Lucky Colors: green, red, purple; Avoid: golden, coffee
Lucky Numbers:  3, 9, 4; Avoid: 7, 6, 8
Lucky Flowers: carnation, primrose, alice flower

You can wear not only clothing, but all sorts of accessories in the green-brown colour scheme, such as jewelry, belts, scarfs, etc. To make it even more powerful, you can choose jewellery with natural crystals and stones with the presence of Wood energy, such as green jade, agate, green tourmaline and malachite.

Also good are crystals and stones with the presence of Water element energy - such as turquoise, aquamarine, pearls, kyanite, lapis lazuli and moonstone. Or, go for black colour ones, such as black obsidian, black tourmaline or black onyx.

Are there colours that are best to avoid in the New Year, or at least for the New Year celebration? Yes, for sure. Least favourable colours in 2015 are the colours of Fire and Metal feng shui elements, respectively all whites and grays, as well as purple, orange and red colours.

While I'm Waiting...

It's late after my shift at SM Aura Taguig, my sister and my cousins have me waited for them so I decided to grab a cup of Cafe Latte at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the malls 5th floor.

Sipping every earthy taste of the beans and a pack of Splenda with ice on the side is best to kill some time.

Hope they'll arrive soon...

Oh btw, I'm enjoying the holiday tune in the background setting the calm mood. Oh holidays... happy bew year soon!

A Refreshing Treat After a Long-Tiring-but-Enjoying Hike...

There is nothing good but to quench your thirst with anything that is cold and refreshing.

We had our BUKO Juice or Coconut Juice from Kuya Marcelino for Php. 20 only. Amazingly this is our treat after we reached the other end of Mt. Talamitam...
